We use Brightwheel for:

  • Daily updates

  • Real-time feed of activities throughout the day.

  • Photos

  • Watch your child’s day unfold with snapshots delivered to your mobile device.

  • Stay connected

  • Stay in touch with your teacher and strengthen school learning with activities at home.

  • Digital check-in

  • Easy digital check-in with personal passcodes. Add approved adults to pick up your child, and see when your child is checked in or out.

  • Paperless billing

  • Digital payments directly from your bank account or credit/debit card. Paperless invoices and email receipts.

  • Your child's community

  • Invite grandparents, nannies, and friends – with control over what they can do and see on Brightwheel.

Once a contact is added for a child, the system will automatically generate a code. You can only view and edit your own code in the app.

Does each contact have to have a Brightwheel account or download the app?

No, they will just used the code generated and assigned to them.  Please bring an ID and we look up your code, however, we cannot edit it. If someone desires to change their code, they will need to create a Brightwheel account.

How to Clock In/Out

  1. Code + Quick Scan Parent scans the QR code with their phone OR Type code at the school's check in tablet

  2. Parent toggles the in/out button to check their child in or out

  3. Parent taps Done, then enters their 4-digit check-in code

Transaction Summary for Parents

  1. Navigate to the Payments tab on the web (not mobile device).

  2. Confirm you are on the Accounts tab and select your student's name (if there are multiple) to open their account

    1. If you see an Invoices and Accounts tab instead, stop here and please follow this article.

  3. Scroll down to the Posted Transactions table or the Payments & Credits tab

    1. If you see the Posted Transactions table, stop here and follow this resource instead. If you see the Payments & Credits tab, continue following these steps!

  4. Click to open the Payments & Credits tab

  5. Click the purple Export button

  6. Select the relevant date range

  7. Click Export, and a summary will be sent to your email address

  8. Click Download in the displayed pop-up to download the report immediately as a PDF

  9. Use the Total Payments tile at the top of the exported report to determine the payments made in the selected date range

Please Note: If you use your phone number to log into Brightwheel, please wait for the download to appear before navigating away from the page or refreshing. If you have an email associated with your account, the export will download immediately, and a copy will also be sent to your inbox within a few minutes.
