to meet the needs of your family.
Operating Hours: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm Operating Days: Monday - Friday
Schedule Options:
Monday-Friday | Monday/Wednesday/Friday | Tuesday/Thursday
Full day programs include up to 10 hours of care daily.
Half day options are available for ages 2 and up. (8:00 am - 11:00 am)
For our school age program we offer before and/or after school and off track/break care.
Infants and Toddlers
Care and education of our youngest members of our River City Early Learning Center family is vital. This early education program is the foundation for all other programs.We provide a warm nurturing environment with an assortment of rotated activities and toys to stimulate the children to learn and grow. Teacher and child relationships are key in our youngest program to build long lasting trusting and caring bonds.
Infant room: 6 weeks ~12 months
Toddler room: ~12 months -24 months
Early Preschool
Fun is key in our Early Learners program! Our busiest learners are taught our child centered curriculum without even knowing they are learning! We drop the state ratio down a bit to have an extra teacher in the classroom so that childrens needs are met. Potty training is a big component in this classroom as well as developing their self help skills.
Ages 2-3 years old
Preschool Program
Preschool at River City is magical due to all the new and developing skills children are acquiring during this age. Pre-writing, social emotional development, STEAM, music and movement are all components in our curriculum. This classroom helps prepare them from the next and gives them and advantage in elementary and beyond by having the Preschool experience.
Ages 3-4 years old
TK Program
Transitional Kindergarten is the final class in our program that helps transition children for the big step into Kindergarten. We do not focus on a rigid and rigorous that can put unnecessary pressures on a child, instead we level the curriculum to suit your child's needs to help them be Kinder ready. We believe every child can be taught, but the necessary social emotional building blocks are necessary to access the academic portal for children. Many of our children move on to Kinder across the street at Joseph Sims Elementary.
Ages 4-5 years old
School Age Program
We are conveniently located across the street from Joseph Sims Elementary School. We walk the children to and from school and to and from any extra curricular activities they may be attending. For our youngest group, Kinders, we pick up and drop off directly from the classrooms. During the day we offer care for children off track and/or on break. Our program offers the convenience of including meals during the day We offer a smaller group experience with a class size limit of 27 students. After school we have dedicated homework time and offer a snack to the children. Scheduled and structured activities are offered for this program.
